Soda Pop and Dance

OMG (yes, i am using sorority talk) tonight was very interesting. After a long day at the activator seminar in Deerfield, I really wanted a drink. On my way home, I picked up dinner for barb and I at Boston Market. I got home, we ate and I took a quick nap. Shortly after that, barb and I left for the Beck Concert at the UIC Pavilion. We were pretty excited. We parked right near the exit, so after the show we could make a quick escape. So barb and I waited in line to get into the Pavilion. Once we got to the front we got searched and then told that we were in the wrong line and had to go to another entrance. We noticed that our tickets said "Dance" and right away I was like "OH SHIT, we are on the floor, I'm to old for this." Honestly, I have never ever been a "floor" person. Or even really a concert person. But since I met barb, I have been to way to many concerts and many of times have been subjected to the floor. Personally, I enjoy the comfort of a nice hard seat.

Once, I finished getting felt up for the second time in 20 minutes by a big dude, I only had one thing on my mind, man's finest creation, beer. Of course the worst thing that could ever happen happened, the pavilion does not sell alcohol. Oh the horror, the horror. I was so pissed. What type of concert does not sell alcohol? So instead of impairing my physical state. I ended up reverting back to the 1950's when a young man split a soda pop with his girl, while listening to some hip beats on the juke box.

Thank god the band puts on an amazing show!!!

I saw Beck in Fukuoka Japan a few years ago, and there was no beer there either.
