Kansas City Run

So, I will try and do a brief recap of what has recently been going on. Last, I posted about how we were in kansas for a friends wedding. We ended up runnging on saturday morning with the midamerica TNT chapter at 6am. Since it rained the day before, it was kinda muddy on the path. At one point the path had a small flooded stream going through it which made us have to jump from one rock to another to get across. Overall the path was really nice and shaded. I really enjoyed going to a new place and train. Since our schedule said 10 miles we decided to stick with the amount. Barb and I were pretty excited to finally meet lilmissrunnerpants. At 1st we didn't recognize each other, but we finally did. She was funny. We also got to meet Coach Karl, of the mid america chapter who was really helpful and very nice. The first four miles, were pretty hard for me. It was hot, humid and way to f''in early. Buut once we I hit 4 miles my body once again went on auto pilot. We got to mile 5 took a quick water break and went back on our way. Once we finished mile 8 I thought all was going pretty well until Taylor and I came to a fork in the road. The path went in two different directions, and we could not remember which we came from. There was one women walking down one path and another walking down the other. We asked both women, if they were with TNT and they both said yeah we are? and you gotta go this way. Ta and I were like oh shit as both women kept on going. This could only happen to us. So we ended up following the wrong woman. And we got so freakin lost and had no idea where we were going. We asked everyone where to go and no one could tell us and we were going way out of the way. But somehow, we found barb and got back on track and finally freakin finished our 10 mile trek through the swamp of kansas city.
